Roj Rana in police net

Producer-cum-actor Roj Rana, a.k.a. Saroj Thapa, has given in himself to Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range lately. Roj, who was accused of being involved in human trafficking, was absconding from the capital after police filed a case in the Kathmandu District Court (KDC) to that effect. "The accused will be taken to the court for testimony," said police.

Earlier in May, police had raided on Show Girls Dance Bars run by Roj at Gongabu and Dilli Bazzar of the capital and arrested the staff on charge of displaying naked dances. A petition writ was registered in the KDC against the three accused including Roj after girls under police custody complained of being forced to show naked dances by the bar owners, police told filmnepal.com. Roj was at large since then.

The KDC had already issued its arrest warrant against the alleged persons. Roj who was put under police custody last year in a similar incident had been released on bail.
